Meadow AI is a deep tech startup combining data from the digital world (transactions, inventory, reviews, scheduling, …) with data from the physical world (queue times, bottlenecks, ingredients, weather, …) and a programmable intelligence that reasons over it, empowering human operators to act faster, do less tedious work and make better decisions. We partner with chain brands spanning retail, hospitality, bakeries, coffee shops, quick-service restaurants and more, and we’re growing quickly within and across verticals. We just raised a $7M seed round to accelerate our growth even further.

The Role

The role has multiple facets.

• You’ll lead and grow a fast-growing engineering team, mentoring engineers and raising the bar for everyone.
• You’ll own execution, prioritizing effectively and making sure commitments are followed through without dropped balls.
• You’ll partner with leadership, product, every engineering function, and other orgs across the company.
• You’ll stay technical enough to follow conversations across the full stack (frontend, backend, data, and AI), and get hands-on with IC work when it makes sense.
• You’ll communicate clearly upward, downward, and laterally.
• Some interfacing with clients to answer for engineering and help prioritize

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years as a manager
• Strong communication skills, with reliable follow-up on every message
• Strong organizational skills and a track record of following through
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
• Comfortable asking for help and reaching out when needed
• Strong learner, receptive to feedback, with both conviction and humility

Nice to Have

• Worked with AWS or other clouds
• Proficiency with AI development tools like Claude/Codex
• Proficiency in SQL and working with data
• Worked in fast paced environments previously, like startups
