About Meadow

Meadow AI is a deep tech startup combining data from the digital world (transactions, inventory, reviews, scheduling, …) with data from the physical world (queue times, bottlenecks, ingredients, weather, …) and a programmable intelligence that reasons over it, empowering human operators to act faster, do less tedious work and make better decisions. We partner with chain brands spanning retail, hospitality, bakeries, coffee shops, quick-service restaurants and more, and we’re growing quickly within and across verticals. We just raised a $7M seed round to accelerate our growth even further.

The Role

The role has multiple facets.

  • R&D where you’ll quickly try new methods to solve real world problems to expand the frontier of what is solvable with computer vision, audio processing, and LLMs.
  • You’ll be responsible for taking POC and demo phase solutions and implementing them in production, in a resource constrained environment where algorithmic efficiency matters.
  • You’ll need to understand the full stack, from the lowest level signals that are being processed all the way to the charts, dashboard, and insights driving actions, and lead these projects end-to-end.
  • You’ll need to communicate clearly to teammates and stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Think of creative solutions within physical, hardware, computational and model capability constraints.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Python and common machine learning libraries
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previously solved computer vision problems, audio processing problems
  • Proficiency in linux, bash, running models and code on physical machines
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with data
  • Previous experience analyzing and reasoning about data
  • Proficiency with AI development tools like Claude/Codex

Nice to Have

  • Previous research work using applied ML
  • Worked with Airflow or other data processing pipelines
  • Experience with software development lifecycles
  • Worked with AWS or other clouds
  • Proficiency in working with remote computer systems
